Why We Can’t Do This Alone

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt since starting MAAD is that real change happens through people.

Not through one person, not through one organisation and certainly not through one social media post. It happens when communities come together.

When MAAD first started, we focused on creating clothing that could start conversations. As the months passed, those conversations introduced us to businesses, gyms, counsellors, sports clubs and individuals who wanted to help take that message even further, that’s where our partnerships began.

From the very beginning, we always knew awareness online would be important, social media has allowed us to reach thousands of people, share stories, start conversations and build a growing community of people who believe mental health matters.

But awareness alone isn’t enough. For us, the goal has always been to take those conversations beyond a screen and into the places where people live, work, train and spend their time every day, because that’s where real change happens.

Whether it’s a construction company displaying MAAD posters in a training centre, a counselling service supporting people in the local community, a gym encouraging members to check in with one another or an athlete proudly wearing MAAD, every partnership helps our message reach people we may never have connected with otherwise.

What we’ve learnt is that every environment is different, the conversations happening in a construction training centre aren’t always the same as those taking place in a boxing gym or on the sidelines of a football pitch.

But the need is exactly the same, people want to feel heard and people want to know they’re not alone. Sometimes all it takes is creating an environment where those conversations feel possible.

Our partners aren’t simply supporting MAAD, they’re helping to build a movement where conversations around mental health become part of everyday life.

Our clothing raises awareness.
Our content starts conversations.
Our partnerships take that message into the real world.

Together, those three things are helping us reach more people than we ever could on our own.

We’re incredibly grateful to every organisation, business and individual who has chosen to stand alongside MAAD so far. Whether you’ve displayed a poster, shared our message, welcomed us into your workplace, worn our clothing or simply believed in what we’re trying to achieve… Thank you. You’re helping to create places where checking in with a colleague, a teammate, a friend or a family member feels a little more normal and that’s exactly what MAAD has always been about.

If you’d like to learn more about the organisations already standing alongside MAAD, or you’re interested in becoming part of our growing community of partners, we’d love to hear from you.
